Presented by Dr. Lauren Schwartz, board-certified psychiatrist
Dr. Lauren Schwartz, a board-certified psychiatrist, will examine the ongoing challenges educators and clinicians face in medicine, mental health, and education as they navigate today’s cultural landscape of gender and gender identity issues.
Dr. Schwartz will discuss the residual effects that are still surfacing among adolescents, including the uncertainty, and unresolved harm left in its wake. Using evidence-based child development research, this webinar aims to refocus the conversation on what is best for all youth.
From the fundamentals of neurology and psychology to everyday practical encounters, Dr. Schwartz will explore how stable, compassionate environments — anchored in developmental science and built for long-term resilience — help youth thrive as they journey toward adulthood.
Dr. Lauren Schwartz is a board-certified psychiatrist in private practice in Oklahoma City and a Senior Fellow with Do No Harm. A graduate with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, she completed her residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2013.
Throughout her career, Dr. Schwartz has advocated for upholding the highest standards of care in medicine and mental health at local, state, and national levels. Her recent advocacy efforts have focused on the critical importance of high-quality medical guidelines and the fundamental duty of physicians to treat every patient with dignity, respect, and empathy.
Recent publications include an open-access review in Discover Mental Health, a methodological commentary in The Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy, and a chapter she co-authored with Dr. Art Rousseau in The War on Science: Thirty-Nine Renowned Scientists and Scholars Speak Out About Current Threats to Free Speech, Open Inquiry, and the Scientific Process. She was honored to contribute the introductory update to Dr. Miriam Grossman’s 2025 expanded release of Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Madness, having previously authored two appendices in 2023.
In July of 2025, Dr. Schwartz was invited to speak on an expert panel in Washington D.C. for the Federal Trade Commission. Her advocacy efforts have been featured in the New York Post, the Dallas Morning News, the Epoch Times, the Federalist, City Journal, and she has been a guest on Fox News, The Origins Podcast and America Out Loud News.
